Here are some updates on what's happening in the Keystone Partnership Program across the Commonwealth:

  • Harrisburg: Labor and management representatives from the Keystone Partnership are scheduled to meet with PennDOT Deputy Secretary Sharon Daboin, Chris Johnston, Assistant to the Deputy Secretary, and Joe Daversa, Bureau of Public Transportation Director on February 12, 2004 to discuss the interaction between the Partnership and the new “Circuit Rider” Training R&D Program.
  • Pittsburgh : The public "kick-off" for the Port Authority/ATU Local #85 is currently scheduled for Friday, February 27, 2004 . Dignitaries from transit labor and management organizations and the political world are being invited.
  • Philadelphia: Labor and management Keystone representatives are taking a field trip to the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority on February 10, 2004 to review that agency's training and apprenticeship programs.
  • Aliquippa : The February 10-12, 2004 , training HVAC Refrigeration Theory by Doug Greenwood still has a limited number of openings. Call Cindy Conaway at 800-847-0333 to register.
  • Statewide: The latest 8-page statewide Keystone Partnership Newsletter has recently been printed and is being distributed across the state.
  • Pittsburgh : The next meeting of the 14 member Statewide Labor-Management Transit Maintenance Workgroup is scheduled for February 26-27, 2004 in Pittsburgh . This group develops the quality standards for the Keystone training courses.
